Five More Days

East Coast 2009

I’m looking forward to going to church basements in P.E.I. (ie. St. Ann’s) where they serve fresh lobster dinners, taking out a zodiac boat in Cape Breton to hopefully see whales up close, and hiking on the numerous trails at Fundy National Park offering great scenic views.

I know these things because I’ve been told by friends and friends of friends who have recently gone to the east coast and come back to share their adventures.

I’m actually quite surprised at the number of people I know who have gone to the east coast of Canada this year alone. But it’s great because I hardly had to do any of my own research on what to do when we’re actually out in the Maritimes.

It’s only five days away now until we take off at 7 a.m., hoping to reach Montreal for lunch at Schwartz and then stop for the night at our first destination: Quebec City.

Haven’t been to QC since grade 7. I have vague memories of that school trip but I do remember it being cold, getting lost in Old Quebec, and, oh yeah, this thing.
