Following Hurricane Bill

Why does Hurricane Bill gotta rain on my parade?

Alright, I haven’t left for the Maritimes yet but we’re leaving in a couple of days. And the trajectory of this Category 3 hurricane (or is it Category 4 now?) seems to be heading in the same general direction as we are.

But not to worry, right? I mean, meteorologists are 90 per cent wrong most of the time and that increases to 99 per cent if they try making weather forecasts more than a day in advance.

Watch them be right this one time. That’ll suck. Or maybe it could be exciting being a “storm chaser.” Um, no…it’ll suck.

Anyway, I got more important things to worry about now…like finding my duffle bag to pack things in, finishing my laundry, calling my parents, killing some fruitflies, charging my cellphone, printing out the itinerary, taking the GPS out of my car, seeing if my travelmates are ready, cleaning the minivan that we’ll be travelling in, etc., etc.

I probably won’t have time to blog again until after I take off early Saturday morning at the crack of dawn. So see you in Quebec City!
