Three Provinces, Four Days

East Coast 2009

First time in days since I’ve had Internet access but I can tell you that it’s been a whirlwind of a vacation.

I’m currently checked in at the Super 8 motel in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, overlooking the harbour with a great sight of Halifax just beyond the bridge.

Prior to arriving today, my four buddies and I have camped out at Fundy National Park in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island National Park for the past three days. Let me tell you something. Taking a shower at the motel was the first thing on all our minds.

Anyway, I can’t write much now because that would take up a lot of space and time, but some highlights include:

  • Walking on the ocean floor in New Brunswick
  • Seeing a moose in Cape Breton Highlands National Park
  • Taking a break at the red sand beaches in P.E.I.
  • Going on some amazing hikes at Fundy National Park
  • Eating lobster on the island
Will write more later but in case you’re interested, my next stop is either St. Andrew’s in New Brunswick to go whale watching (we were supposed to do it today in Cape Breton, but the heavy winds cancelled all tours), or we’ll go back to Fundy to catch the high tides.

But tonight, we are going to check out the nightlife in Halifax. Talk soon!

Good thing they canceled the tours at Cape Breton…or else you might have had a whale watching experience similar to mine :)
