I applaud your ambition

Last week I read about a couple who have embarked on a year long journey to reduce their garbage. I believe their goal is to put out just 4.5 pounds of garbage for the year - the same amount the average American (and likely Canadian) - puts out in a week. They’ve begun composting in their yard, going straight to the source to buy items such as cheese to reduce waste from packaging and they’ve done A LOT of research. Their project is both commendable for the effect it will have on our world, but also because they are blogging the whole thing so everyone else can learn tips and tricks and ways to reduce their own waste without having to do any of the legwork!

I applaud you Amy and Adam Korst. Good luck with your project!

I recently stumbled upon the fantastic website of Barry Snyder demonstrating his Produce Art. People save their stickers on a piece of paper, mail it to him and he turns it into a wonderful work of art. I’m definitely going to start sticker saving…
