Two long-time east Toronto residents were winners at Sunday’s Juno Awards.

Longtime Riverdale resident Jim Cuddy scored adult alternative album of the year for his solo release, The Light That Guides You Home.

Cuddy has lived in Riverdale since before Blue Rodeo broke big in the 1980s.

Longtime Danforth/Donlands area resident Roberto Occhipinti can bask in the glory of his good friend Hilario Duran scooping contemporary jazz album of the year for From the Heart.

Occhipinti, who had his own Juno nomination last year for his album Yemaya, was the bass player on Duran’s album.
